MACLEAN'S BRIDGE AT LAKESIDE, 2012 - THE CONCOURS d'FACSIMILE:
Some unique vehicles were entered
in the Concours d'Facsimile.
FERRARI:
1936: MERCEDES BENZ 500K - SPECIAL ROADSTER:
Build #19 of 58, this car was hand
built by H.T.Price in California for a United States Car Collector. Subsequently
an Australian gained ownership and the car was rebuilt in 2010. The car was
first exhibited at the National Car Show, Carlisle where it was awarded the
'Certificate of Excellence'. The car has now had minor modifications undertaken
to comply with Australian Compliance requirements. The car is powered by a Ford
460ci Big Block V8 of 7,500cc capacity.
1973: SQUIRE SS-100:
Hand built in Italy in 1971 and
marketed for the first time at the Chicago Motor Show of 1973, the Squire SS-100
is a near exact replica of the Jaguar SS100. This car was manufactured as a
joint venture between the Ford Motor Company and Intermeccania, the engine is a
Ford 250ci 4,100cc OHV straight six. This car is build #20 of 50.
HONDA CX500 POWERED - SPECIAL:
This three wheeler has a somewhat
unique engine, normally I would expect a Vincent V-twin, however a 500cc Honda
CX500 water cooled pushrod V-twin has been used. The owner advised me he intends
to change the engine to a Moto Guzzi air cooled V-twin in the near future.
JAGUAR XJ13 - REPLICA:
