SAN DIEGO CAR MUSEUM: A diverse range of cars and motorcycles including custom rods, speedway cars, cruisers, even a custom Kombi Van. 1913: PIERCE-ARROW RACEABOUT - MODEL 48ss: Pierce-Arrow manufactured some of the most technically advanced motor vehicles in United States history throughout the years 1901~1938. The company was named after it's founder, George N. Pierce. The Raceabout - Model 48ss is a custom bodied model based on the Pierce-Arrow Runabout. The engine is a 425cid in-line six cylinder type with an 'L' head valve arrangement producing 48HP driving through a four speed manual gearbox.
1939: PONTIAC CHIEFTAIN LOWRIDER - LA BOMBA: This Pontiac has had the Bomb or La Bomba treatment, a heavily rounded look that was popular from the 1930 to 1950. Normally the Lowrider look was achieved by using sand bags, cement blocks or heating and cutting the springs, thankfully this car utilises hydraulics to alter the ride height for street or show purposes. The engine is a 216cid in-line six cylinder type producing 85HP @ 3,200rpm.
