MACLEAN'S BRIDGE AT LAKESIDE, 2012 - THE CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE:
A limited number of vehicles
entered the Concours d'Elegance, nevertheless the quality was exceptional.
1959: CORVETTE C1: The
original build date was the 14th April 1959, the car was fully restored to
original specifications in 2010. Features include a full fibreglass body on a
steel chassis, body finished in Roman Red with White coves, a red interior,
white softtop and red hardtop. The engine is a 283ci engine producing 270BHP
driving through a four speed T10 Borg Warner gearbox.
1955: BUICK - 'ROADMASTER CONVERTIBLE':
Powered by a 322ci V8 'Nail Head'
driving through a Dyanflow automatic transmission this vehicle was capable of
achieving 17.5 seconds for the quarter mile and a maximum speed of 110mph over
the flying mile at Daytona in 1955.
