The Dainese Parade Lap: The
Dainese parade lap preceded the Senior TT and whilst
Ago did not attend this year there were some very interesting riders and
machines circulating. It was marvellous to inspect a 'Mugen Motorcycle', a
very rare and reportedly expensive motorcycle built by Soichiro Honda's son,
Hirotoshi. A few minutes later Ex Honda Works Rider Luigi Taveri appeared,
suffice to say it was all happening!
Pit Images:

MRV1000 MUGEN V TWIN: Built by Soichiro Honda's son, Hirotoshi Honda, the motorcycle appears quite
old, in fact it was built circa 1990, incorporating a unique mix of old
and recent technology with an engine capacity of 997cc. There are some unusual
features including an 'internal' front disc brake and drum rear brake and
obviously a dual seat but no provision for pillion pegs. The header pipes are
neatly run however no attempt has been made to match the length of the pipes
prior to converging, ultimately they feed a very British looking muffler.
