Named to honour David Crockett, Davy was recorded as
having passed through the area now known as Crockett on his way to the
Alamo.

THE ALAMO, SAN
ANTONIO:
The Alamo, completed in 1718
as the 'Mission San Antonio De Valero' the Alamo was one of five Missions
built along the shores of the San Antonio River. The Alamo commemorates the
valiant efforts of Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, Colonel Travis and 186
volunteers who sacrificed their lives in the struggle to achieve Texas'
independence.

WACO:
Waco is centrally located
between Austin and Dallas, Texas. The city was founded in 1849 by the Huaco
Indians, a tribe that inhabited the area of the modern downtown Waco and the
city is located at the Brazos River.
Waco was the birthplace of the
Dr Pepper and major tourist attractions include the Waco Suspension Bridge,
the Washington Avenue Bridge, Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum and the
Texas Sports Hall of Fame.

HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM, WACO:
