COWES - THE TOWN CENTRE: The 'town centre' of Phillip Island offers a wide variety of shops and facilities for both the visitor and permanent residents. Major Banks, Coles and a 24 Hour Medical Centre are significant facilities.
COWES - THE COWES JETTY: The main street of Cowes leads directly to the foreshore and the Cowes Jetty.
RHYLL JETTY: Surgeon George Bass sought shelter at Rhyll during his voyage in 1798. Rhyll was ideal, sheltered from the prevailing south-westerly winds. The monument shown below is located adjacent the Jetty and it commemorates the memory of Rhyll early pioneers, Master Mariner 'John Barnard Lock' and his wife 'Elizabeth Woodward Cavell'.
