SILVAN: The TESSELAAR Tulip Festival: A must visit, the Tulip Festival held between September 11 to October 12, 2008 was just magnificent. The Tulip Farm is located at 357 Monbulk Road, Silvan, Victoria. Cees and Johanna Tesselaar migrated from Holland and started the Tulip Farm in 1945. The result of their labours today is a magnificent Tourist Attraction and a fully working farm.
I was staggered at the size of the Farm, just beautiful.
ECHUCA: The Heritage Steam Festival: Unplanned but I was so lucky, the Echuca 'Heritage Steam Festival' was well underway when I visited Echuca, the following 'land based' images were taken alongside the Murray River.

ECHUCA: The Heritage Steam Festival - 'On the Murray': I experienced a wonderful Paddle Steamer trip along the Mighty Murray River whilst in Echuca, the city claims the 'World's largest fleet of Paddle Steamers'. Mind you there were plenty of beautiful Houseboats along the river banks to. Hopefully the Murray River can survive and the river's water flow in Australia's severe drought conditions can be maintained and improved to the benefit of all.
