Pre 1960 racing, sports cars and invited sedans, specifically CAMS Groups J & K, L, M and invited Na and Sa vehicles competed in this category. Marques including Bugatti, Mercedes, Alfa Romeo, Austin-Healey and Lotus certainly made the category very interesting. At the bottom of this page I have included some thoughts and altered images suggesting a 'Revival' display similar to the Goodwood Revival.

PIT IMAGES: There was plenty of eye candy in this category,  I have selected two cars that highlight the quality of machinery at the Tasman Revival...

1927: #35: BUGATTI T35C The 'T35C' incorporates a 'straight eight' 1.91 litre SOHC engine with three valves per cylinder, producing 130BHP at 5,300rpm, the motor is supercharged with a Roots Type Supercharger and a single updraft Zenith carburettor.

#35: BUGATTI T35C, NOTE THE 'SPARE' SET OF SPARK PLUGS!

1935: #41: ALFA ROMEO 8C-36 The '8C' incorporates a 'straight eight' 3.8 litre DOHC engine producing 330BHP at 5,400rpm, the motor is supercharged with a side mounted Roots Type Supercharger.

#41: ALFA ROMEO 8C-36, 3.8 LITRE DOHC STRAIGHT EIGHT!

1927~1935: #35: BUGATTI & 41: ALFA ROMEO: I have 'digitally altered' selected Tasman Revival images below to hopefully prompt some thought for future Tasman Revival meetings to include a 'REVIVAL' in a similar manner to that of the Goodwood Revival. The suggestion is to locate the Bugatti, Alfa Romeo and other selected cars from the era in the 'one garage/pit area' and request the Entrants/Owners bring along some period costumes for possibly a 'lunch break' Revival scene.
