With manoeuvrability and acceleration critical there are many choices available from the heavy 'big block' engines of nominally 676 cubic inch to 'all alloy - small block' engines of nominally 500 cubic inch. #23A: RAMJET 'COLD AIR INDUCTION' - PHONSY MULLAN: Arguably the most striking Superboat and Helmet colours, Ramjet's performance was inhibited by ignition problems throughout the weekend. Phonsy Mullan ultimately achieved third place overall with a fastest lap time of 39.708 seconds. The boat specification includes, Hull: Mackraft, Engine: 427ci Twin Turbo Chevrolet LSX, Horsepower: 1,600BHP (app), Jet Unit: Scott 9".
