ISLE OF MAN RAILWAYS: The Isle of Man, it is my favourite place in the entire world, mainly because of the annual Tourist Trophy Motorcycle races, however there is so much more to see and do, one amazing aspect of the Island's history was the evolution of a wide range of railway systems powered by steam, electric and even horse drawn. Even more amazing is the fact that the majority of these marvellous tourist and general patronage forms of transport have been kept in full working order.

The Isle of Man Government are to be congratulated for having the foresight to retain the railway systems and offer the tourist simplified ticketing systems.

STEAM TRAINS: The Steam Trains on the Island operate for most of the year, performing both tourist and general rail transport duties from Douglas to Port Erin.
