PORSCHE 959: The Porsche 959, developed by Porsche in 1983 for Group B Motorsport and the Paris Dakar Rally, the 959 included four wheel drive, water cooled cylinder heads and turbo chargers. Porsche claim it was the first production car to reach 322kmh, (200mph). For details of the 959 Paris Dakar click here... Surely the most elegant of all '911' incarnations, the 959 incorporated flowing lines which started from the front grille, encapsulated the side air intakes and perfectly integrated the rear spoiler, no add ons needed here. The car body was a combination of many materials, including aluminium doors, aluminium bonnet, deformable plastic nose section and kevlar reinforced fibre glass for the remainder.
