The Loch weather was very unkind for a few days then suddenly 'sunshine', a quick trip to the dock to board the 'Jacobite Queen', it all seemed so simple and the weather very calm indeed. However, once the ship entered Loch Ness proper the Captain's warning came to fruition, beautiful fine weather but the wind chill and wind pressure were something to behold. JACOBITE QUEEN: The Jacobite Queen, built by Hawthorne Leslie, circa 1949, has a nominal length of twenty three metres and commenced service with Jacobite Cruises in 1987.
LOCH NESS: Loch Ness is a huge exposed waterway, bounded on two sides by rolling hills of green with minimal development.
