THE ALAMO, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS:

The Alamo, completed in 1718 as the 'Mission San Antonio De Valero' the Alamo was one of five Missions built along the shores of the San Antonio River. The Alamo commemorates the valiant efforts of Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, Colonel Travis and 186 volunteers who sacrificed their lives in the struggle to achieve Texas' independence.

USS TEXAS (BB35) BATTLESHIP, La PORTE, TEXAS:

The last and the oldest Battleship afloat, BB35 served in both World Wars. She was saved by the people of Texas following a risk of destruction as a bombing target. In 1948 she was towed into position at the San Jacinto Battleground Site for public display.

SAN JACINTO BATTLEGROUND, STATE HISTORIC SITE, La PORTE, TEXAS:

The 1,200 acre site commemorates the struggle of a Volunteer Army consisting of Anglo-American Settlers and Tejanos, (Spanish for Texan), to defeat a larger Mexican Army and critically Santa Anna, to achieve Texas' independence.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE PACIFIC WAR, FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS:

Commemorating the Pacific War of World War 2, the Museum celebrates a wide variety of American, Australian and Japanese involvement in the Pacific War, there is also a display of American Presidents and their wartime activities.

THE US FORCES RIVER PARADE, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, 2013:

An annual event, the US Forces River Parade celebrates the various arms of the United States Forces with floats parading along the River Walk, San Antonio, Texas.

AUSTRALIAN ARMY TANK MUSEUM, PUCKAPUNYAL, VICTORIA:

Commemorating the Royal Australian Armoured Corps and the Australian Light Horse, the Museum is located in the grounds of the Puckapunyal Army Base, Victoria.
