THE REDLAND CITY AUSTRALIA DAY RALLY, 2012:
In conjunction with the Redland City Council and major support from the Royal
Automobile Club of Queensland and Pure Oil the originally scheduled 'Australia
Day' event
which was washed out due to heavy rain still attracted over 350 entrants some
two weeks later. A wide
variety of cars faced the judges and ultimately entered the Annual Run through
the Redland Shire.
1937: PACKARD CONVERTIBLE COUPE:
Powered by a Straight 8, 282 cubic inch engine which produced
120hp @ 3,800rpm driving through a three speed with overdrive gearbox. The car
was totally restored, commencing in 1979. The car has a rated top speed of
155kmh.
