THE TASMAN REVIVAL, 2012 - VINTAGE AND PVT:
Pre 1960 racing, this category
includes Group L Racing Cars, Group L Sports Cars, Invited Group M, O & Sports
Cars and Invited Group Sa Sports Cars. Marques including Austin-Healey, Cooper,
Lister Jaguar, MG and Sunbeam ensured a variety of competitors, I was
particularly attracted to a 1951 Cooper Norton powered racer:

The fist Cooper Manx in Australia,
built in 1951 the car was the 4th constructed from a total of 51. Powered by a
500cc Norton single cylinder engine running on methanol and driving through a
four speed close ration Norton gearbox.
