THE CIK STARS OF KARTING, WILLOWBANK, 2012: The 3rd round of the CIK Stars of Karting Series, presented by Castrol EDGE was held at the Ipswich Kart Club, Willowbank, Queensland. Over 130 Entrants competed in a variety of classes including three elite categories, Pro Light (KF1), Pro Gearbox (KF2) and Pro Junior (KF3).

THE PITS: My first stop at most motorsport events, Go Kart Pit Areas are just as high tech as any other form of motorsport, excepting everything is down sized and by that very nature somewhat more intricate mechanical set-ups were noted.

HISTORIC AND MODERN KARTS: Interesting to compare historic and modern Karts, a display 'side by side' certainly indicated the improvements in overall design, particularly obvious were the brakes, electronics and the 'graphics'!

HISTORIC KARTS: These Karts have been fully restored for show purposes.

MAGNUM KART

HKS KART

MODERN KARTS: The 'graphics' stunning, LCD readout on the steering wheel, of course.
