The state of California encompasses so much to see and do. Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Hollywood, Disneyland, truly an amazing place. I have dedicated pages to major locations and attractions throughout the state.

Please click on the heading or associated image to be taken to the dedicated page covering the State.....

DISNEYLAND PARK, ANAHEIM:

Disneyland Park, Anaheim is Walt Disney's original theme park incorporating the worlds of fantasyland, frontierland and tomorrowland. My visit in late 2010 coincided with Halloween celebrations and Christmas decorations were well in hand, a magic time to visit the Park.

HOLLYWOOD:

Hollywood, generally comes as advertised.

SAN DIEGO SEAWORLD:

Established in 1964, San Diego SeaWorld is located on the shoreline of Mission Bay, San Diego. The facility incorporates an animal theme park, oceanarium and a marine mammal park.

SAN DIEGO ZOO:

Established in 1915, the San Diego Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the world, housing over 4,000 animals of varied species. The zoo is located in Balboa Park, San Diego.

Exhibits have been logically arranged so that a variety of animals found in the wild together are housed in a similar manner, major attractions include the Island Giants, Panda Research Station, Monkey Trails and Forest Trails, the Polar Bear Plunge and the Elephant Odyssey.

SAN FRANCISCO:

San Francisco, a must visit, there were highlights, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Cable Cars, they're all there however the general state of the city and the terribly sad state of many homeless people living on the streets left me confused.

The city is a major financial hub with over thirty Financial Institutions based there and the city claims fifteenth place in the top twenty global financial centres, the haves and the have nots is clearly evident on the streets of San Francisco.

SOLVANG:

Solvang (Danish for sunny fields), was founded in 1911. It is captivating, surrounded by all that is America, the town offers a hint of Danish architecture, tidiness, old world customs, simply a wonderful place to visit.

I really had no idea of the beauty and charm that Solvang and it's residents had in store for me, I actually went there to view the 'Solvang Motorcycle Museum', an equally wonderful experience, link here.

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK:

Located in the Sierra Nevada region of California, Yosemite National Park covers a massive area of some 3,000 square kilometres. Visitor numbers exceed 3.5 million per annum and the Park is easily accessible, approximate driving times are four hours from San Francisco and six hours from Los Angeles.

I LOVE NEW TECHNOLOGY, TABLETS, LAPTOPS, DIGITAL CAMERAS, MOBILE PHONES/WIRELESS BROADBAND, GPS, ETC.  ALL SO COOL AND 'PORTABLE'......
