Huge spectator numbers, trade displays, show and shine presentations, Croz selling books, QBE girls!, motorcycles even a CBX1000Z! It was all happening, the Event Organisers allowed access to most areas throughout the three days of the Festival and the Security guys kept a low profile, well done.

SPECTATOR NUMBERS: No problem at the 'Sheene', there were excellent Spectator numbers throughout the three day event, the image below depicts just some of the privately owned motorcycles parked adjacent the pit area.

SHOW AND SHINE & TRADE DISPLAYS: Marvellous machinery of all types and engine configurations were on display and some Manufacturers had trade stands displaying their current range of motorcycles.

MOTORCYCLING PEOPLE I MET: Great times, I had a yarn with some great people at the 'Sheene', with respect to everyone else I have to single out Phil Hall here, Phil has attended and professionally commentated at so many Motorcycle Race Events throughout the East Coast of Australia that I also attended as far back as the mid nineteen seventies and yet we had never met until this event! Thankyou Phil for a highlight of my weekend and your ongoing friendship. Grant Paterson and I have only known one another for a very short while, great times and great stories, thankyou Grant, the hats and hippie adornments, absolutely tops!

Croz of course needs no introduction here, so approachable, a great guy and he actually did a parade lap or two, unfortunately devoid of all forms of wheel standing techniques! Steve Butler has returned to Aussie road racing and has lost none of his ability there, Steve has some very attractive sponsors!

PHIL HALL, CROZ AND CROZ' BOOK, OF COURSE!

#20: STEVE BUTLER AND HIS VERY ATTRACTIVE SPONSORS

PARADE LAP OF CHAMPIONS: Graeme Crosby, Kevin Magee and Mal Campbell circulated at different times over the weekend. Croz was appropriately mounted on a Suzuki XR69, Mal piloted a very tasty Joey Dunlop Replica VFR750R and Magoo, well Magoo made do with the Robbie Phillis' #32: Suzuki Katana and that was only after Robbie described the functions of the motorcycle, just in case!
