The second anniversary race of the Bel-Ray Six Hour was held at the
Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit in December 2010, hopefully the race will
become a permanent fixture on the Australian motor racing calendar. The race was
a cracker, the teams very professional and the motorcycles generally proved very
reliable. The weather was very kind, unfortunately Victorian motorcycle fans
stayed away, it was their loss as they missed a great event.
I have recorded imagery of the Six Hour Race, Pit Lane action,
Team pictures and a few candid images of Wayne Gardner with his son Remy!

THE SIX HOUR
RACE - December 2010:
Most of Australia's best riders lined up for the Le
Mans start including international rider and TT winner Cam Donald. Wayne
Maxwell on the 'Demolition Plus' Honda CBR1000RR won the top ten shoot out
on Saturday.

Josh Brookes on the 'Demolition Plus' Honda CBR1000RR leading the field away

THE SIX HOUR
'PIT LANE' - Dec. 2010:
Pit lane was the place to be on race day, most action
centred around refuelling and the obligatory tyre changing, there was a fire
of sorts and amazingly a plague of rearset and gear linkage failures!
The 'clickable' image depicts an 'undamaged' brake side
rearset which required complete removal and reassembly just to fit a
replacement pivot bolt which had 'fallen out' on a Suzuki GSXR1000... |

'ATMOSPHERE' - Dec. 2010:
There was plenty happening besides the actual race,
daredevil riding, group shots of teams, Wayne Gardner and his son Remy, Kevin Magee, some lovely ladies
and miscellaneous images captured during my walks around the pits etc....

the 'Put It On My Tab Officer' Team, don't ask... |
