Isle of Man TT 2008

THE ISLE OF MAN TT, 2008: I have caught the TT Bug, having never been overseas until the 'mandatory' Centenary TT of 2007, off I went again to the 2008 TT and hopefully many many more to come, they couldn't do it without me now!

I had a few things I wanted to achieve in 2008, specifically 'officially meet' and have my 'picture taken' with Pauline Hailwood, Linda Dunlop and John McGuinness and of course, watch the racing and enjoy myself.

Mission accomplished, Pauline and Linda, absolutely rock solid ladies, outgoing and very approachable and obliging to this interloper. John McGuinness, you're kidding, not only did he take the time to talk to me, the photo together required the services of his Chief Mechanic! Nothing was too much trouble for John, a great guy, so successful at the TT and a bloody nice bloke.

SUPERSTOCK TT: Cam Donald (Australia!!) took his second TT win of 2008!!


1st: CAM DONALD - SUZUKI	2nd:J. McGUINNESS - HONDA	3rd: GUY MARTIN - HONDA	5th: CONOR CUMMINS - YAMAHA

SENIOR TT - TOP THREE: Cam Donald (Australia!!) so close, John won the Senior again. Cam 'paddled' the ailing Suzuki past me to the rostrum, oil was dripping from a reported failing gearbox.

DUCATI 50th ANNIVERSARY: Ducati in association with Pauline and David commemorated their Fiftieth Anniversary of competition at the TT and very importantly the Thirtieth Anniversary of Mike's successful return in 1978, Mike taking the win on a Ducati in the F1 Race.
