THE GOLD COAST HERITAGE MUSEUM, MUDGEERABA,
QUEENSLAND: The Museum celebrates the environs
and activities of a typical Pioneer's family with particular emphasis on the
history of Mudgeeraba, Queensland. Oakey House, Franklin House, Nerang Railway
Station, Cream Shed, Tallebudgera Jailhouse and Photographic Equipment displays
are highlights of the Museum.
NERANG RAILWAY STATION, 1989~1964:
Donated to the Museum in 2007, the Station was well
travelled before becoming a prime exhibit. Used for many years as a Railway
Station serving the South Coast Railway from Beenleigh to Southport, Queensland,
the structure was subsequently used as a Council Workshop and Work Office at
various sites.
