I have separated my photographic records of England into Trooping the Colours, London, Castles and Liverpool, hopefully more categories will follow as my adventures continue. Trooping the Colours: I hadn't planned it but as part of my Isle of Man Trip of 2008, my walks around London happened to co-inside with the Queen's Birthday Celebrations and the imminent arrival of US President George W. Bush. Hence a wonderful sight around Buckingham Palace and sadly increased security awaited me. All went well and I was surprised how close I could get to the Queen, given the circumstances.
London: A very 'happening' place to be, marvellous buildings, attractions, history, shops and food!! I just wish the Security issues were not so apparent to the general public.
Windsor Castle and Environs: A very inviting place, beautiful Castle, grounds and the Specialty Shops. The surprise was the Fast Food Shops directly opposite Windsor Castle, not quite appropriate!!!
Liverpool: A fast changing landscape, so many extremely old buildings and new developments. |
I LOVE NEW TECHNOLOGY, TABLETS, LAPTOPS, DIGITAL CAMERAS, MOBILE PHONES/WIRELESS BROADBAND, GPS, ETC. ALL SO COOL AND 'PORTABLE'......
