PRACTICE CRASHES AND NON RACE IMAGES: There were a lot of crashes at Phillip Island, unfortunately for BMW two riders were injured as a consequence, Ruben Xaus decided not to race following some heavy knocks and Roland Resch suffered a broken collar bone. Ducati riders did not escape the carnage either, Michel Fabrizio slid off at Turn 10 without injury , RUBEN XAUS: Ruben appeared to attack the Phillip Island circuit too hard too early, his practice crashes at Turn 10 within minutes of one another defied belief. The 'cornering angles' that Ruben forced the BMW S1000RR into were, in my opinion, way beyond all other similarly mounted riders actions, certainly in early practice.
MICHEL FABRIZIO: A less than spectacular slide by Michel resulted in minimal damage to rider and machine.
