THE NATIONAL VETERAN TOUR, 2012 - DRAG RACING:
A real eye-opener, witnessing the determination of eager Veteran Car Drivers
fronting up to the staging area and 'discreetly' charging down the 1/8th mile,
then they came back to do it all again. I'm confident Willowbank Raceway had
never witnessed such a spectacle before, a certain current Professional Drag
Racer even had a go in a 'borrowed' Veteran Car!

THE AWARDS CEREMONY:
At the completion of the Drag
Racing and a lunch break, Willowbank Raceway presented the Trophies and
Certificates for the Fastest ET and Terminal Speed. One car and driver
combination #77: Kevin Spackman and his 1913 Model T Ford held off all
challengers and 'won the lot'!
Over a measured 1/8th of a mile Kevin achieved an elapsed
time record of 17.124 seconds and a terminal speed of 38.19mph in the '1903~1918
Class'.

COMPARISONS:
Willowbank Raceway had various Modern Drag Racers and their
machinery at the Drag Strip during the National Veterans Tour visit, I

Veteran Cars and Modern Drag Race Cars here:
