ATMOSPHERE: There was plenty happening besides the actual race,
stunt riding, group shots of teams, Wayne and Remy Gardner!!, Kevin Magee,
30th and 40th Six Hour Anniversaries, some lovely ladies and I even
captured some miscellaneous 'often funny stuff' on my walks around the pits.

WAYNE & REMY GARDNER, KEVIN MAGEE AND ANNIVERSARIES: I
have never seen WG so happy, fantastic stuff! Preparing his son's 70cc
Honda he may not have realised it was the 'thirtieth (30th) anniversary' of his
maiden Six Hour win of 1980, on the Honda CB1100RA at Sydney's Amaroo Park,
teamed with Andrew (AJ) Johnson. Of course I was there, it truly was an indicator to WG's future International success, link here!
Ouch, it's worth noting that 2010 also marked the 'fortieth
(40th) anniversary' of the first Six Hour Production Race of 1970 held
at Amaroo Park and yes, I attended the inaugural event and witnessed my hero
Bryan Hindle (rip) and Len Atlee take the win, riding a Triumph Bonneville,

DEEJAY51 FOOTNOTE: The second
running of the Bel-Ray Six Hour Race, it begs the question, after enjoying forty
years of Six Hour memories with some considerable gaps between events 'did I
enjoy myself'? Stoked, totally wrapped, this was a great event, everyone I
spoke to was totally committed to their task but they 'took that moment' to have
a friendly conversation with me, absolutely tops.
The highlight, there were many, but it had to
be watching riders remove their helmets and be constantly reminded that they had
left NOTHING IN THE PITS, congratulations to all the Teams, hopefully
Bel-Ray and QBE can continue their valued support and this event can rival and
ultimately exceed the magnificence of the original Six Hour race series at
Amaroo Park, Sydney.
To the Organisers, James Spence and Lyndel
Butler, thankyou sincerely for allowing me Photographers Access to the event and
congratulations for sticking with the formula.
